To commemorate the return of nation Calendar to TVNZ1, Alex Casey tracks down the show’s biggest canine fan.
This Sunday night at seven o’clock, Suki will set you back the television and need that her parents switch on TVNZ1 so she can hear her favourite theme track. She’ll then stay, nose contrary to the display, to view the return of her favourite programme nation Calendar. She’ll be hoping that we now have pigs, maybe some farm dogs, but won’t be as enthusiastic about viewing bees. Suki is really a 12 yr old edge collie, and she’s enjoyed Country Calendar her whole life that is doggone.
“She began to get enthusiastic about tv whenever she had been merely a puppy, ” Suki’s owner and Greytown resident Maura Marron claims. “During the soccer globe cup we’d be getting out of bed in the center of the evening to view games. There’d be food and clapping and plenty of sound, and so I think she connected TV with having a little bit of an ongoing celebration. ” Even with brand New Zealand ended up being booted through the globe glass, Suki proceeded to get up for it to be turned on at 2am and run to the TV, whining.
